The NERC website is being monitored on a weekly basis by NovaTech in order to check for new alerts. Any alerts published on the NERC website are investigated by NovaTech to determine applicability to Bitronics products and to determine if there is any potential security vulnerability. There have been no applicable alerts for Bitronics products this month.

When using the D650 to poll data from a device with serial Modbus or DNP3, the D650 displays flashing zeros in all numeric LED displays. This occurs when the IP address remains at the factory setting 0.0.0.0, even though the IP address is not needed for serial communication. This issue is resolved in firmware 2.21. If upgrade is not desired, then apply the workaround described in this service bulletin.
