Virtualization is the process of separating software from its underlying physical hardware. It allows you to run multiple independent devices—like RTUs, gateways, protection relays, and cybersecurity applications —on a single physical server. Each device operates as a “virtual machine”, fully isolated, and functions just as if it were on dedicated hardware.
Integration & Data Normalization
Yes. OrionVX can be used as a front-end processor, allowing legacy SCADA systems to interface with thousands of field devices through a small number of virtual RTUs. This minimizes changes to the SCADA master while drastically increasing system capability.
